2015 Favourites

‘Youth is when you're allowed to stay up late on New Year's Eve...’ - Bill Vaughn

We all know how crazy quick this year went through and all of us have lots and lots to share. All those experiences, new feelings, new people, new places, new jobs and what not. Here are some bits and pieces of my 2015, some funny, some emotional, some loving and some drunk and in love moments.

Yes, I met my best friend after ages, and then my new job or should I say I was going for the interview…Wooohoooooo! Goodness gracious! All did go well and here I am, working at the same place, with wonderful people all around me.

And then there is Blue, the black Labrador who we adopted in the same month. That little boy is a wild family member who rocks our world and yeah, not to forget all the ruined cushions and broken vases, hmmm never mind. And then at the airport, with aunty.

Some more of family time, weddings and lunch, all that makes us happy to be together. After all, the family is a haven in a heartless world.

And thank you for a house full of people I love. Amen.

Ah look at us all happy and having fun around amongst colleagues that I call friends. While some days we stayed back a little late at the office to decorate for some special events, there were days we just went off to some nice places in nature for some pictures you know. And yes, not to forget the starving mornings when we had to rush to McDonald’s to fill those large gaps in our stomach.

And here’s one time when we thought we might dress up Goth to better see the blood moon. Did not work.

Then came the Halloween, and yes, the Goth effect wasn’t wiping off any soon.

They say, the highest happiness on earth is marriage.
Here’s one wonderful evening at a colleague’s wedding; Zo and Bell’s wedding.
‘The bride and groom — May their joys be as bright as the morning, and their sorrows but shadows that fade in the sunlight of love.’

Happy faces and happiness everywhere…..sprinklesssss….

And then the rest of the days, we were amongst friends - call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one. Spending your time in nature and staying out till sundown is one of the best decisions to make.

O, money can't buy the delights of the glen,
Nor Poetry sing all its charms:
There's a solace and calm ne'er described by the pen
When we're folded within Nature's arms! – James Rigg

I wouldn’t call it the last set of snaps, but here’s to new beginnings and more love. 2015 has given me a lot to cherish and I am looking forward to all of them positively.

Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.

Crap! My puppy keeps on growing so fast!

A while ago I lost my twelve year old dog which was totally shattering but good grace we were able to adopt a puppy from a friend which now makes us Labrador parent!

This little guy is named Blue, 'Blue, the lab mix.'

He is the loveliest kid in town, black by color, blue by name, he is my next rainbow; cherished and spoilt brat who ravages the garden when toys bore him. I couldn't agree more to his sweet kisses and hugs, he is adorable and loves to make us jump around along with him.

Being a parent is just so important when you need to care and watch what your kid eats and what are the important nutrients and sports you need to keep track of, likely he has everything under control and lots of veggies in his meals + his fruits. Reminder; ALWAYS KEEP THEM AWAY FROM ONIONS & GARLIC FAMILY! Puppies have very sharp teeth so we always take care that he has all his toys around him. He sleeps a lot, like a sleeping maniac.

If you have a new pup, you would definitely want to take them to the vet- the sooner they have their shots than later, the better.

Don’t forget to keep the fun in. puppies are players, they love to jump around nothing and make pro races, take them to the park or the beach, they will totally love being out there. My baby loves the green grass and adores to play in it; it's like his number one fun thing!

But the only thing is that they grow up super fast, he was just a little bee when he came in a box and now he is such a boy in four months already! He plays and plays and plays and then he is so tired to move his lil ass. I loved him since the first second I set eyes on him, and he is just the fine soul mate I needed!

I had a dog named Ketchup

So, this is going to be a post about my past pet. It started on January 2003 when I found this golden puppy, all cute and snuggly, kissable, caressable, soft, plump, lovable and all. I loved him instantly. He was a crossbred; A Golden Retriever + a Teckel. He was the cutest thing to happen to my world. I lived in his world and so did he in mine. We had to choose a name and then there was this song Las Ketchup which always excited him. When he would hear it on the radio, he’d come playfully and listen to the song which is the main reason why we thought ‘Ketchup’ was so exciting to name him after. His name remained Ketchup. But lately we lost him, like after 12 beautiful years of him the house feels so empty and gloomy.

Dad always tried to cheer me up and now my family thinks we should get a new dog. Animals are my life. Yesterday, as I was heading back home, I saw the neighbour’s dog and I played with him. He was so so cute like so bubbly and it revived me to the core instantly. You know that home feels home when you need to rush back to cuddle your pet after a hard day of work. I loved my pet and I know I always will love him, like forever. But moving on, a friend said he had pups at home and that we could adopt one. I’m so happy already while we need to wait for some more days as he is still a little baby getting care from the mommy dog. Anyway, I needed a ray of hope. Well, I have one now. Pawfect. Kisses.
